Nayel Nassar popped the big question to Jennifer Gates this weekend! The couple both posted on their Instagram feeds Wednesday afternoon sharing the wonderful news. A snowy ski trip was just the perfect location for a picture perfect proposal.
Nayel shared in his post that he “felt like the luckiest man in the world,” and that he “couldn’t wait to keep growing together through this journey called life.” #BeStillMyHeart
In her post, Jennifer claimed that she was absolutely swept off of her feet by Nayel’s proposal, claiming it was in the “most meaningful location over one of their many shared passions.”
The couple has being sharing adorable Instagram posts that are serious #relationshipgoals since 2017. They have supported one another at some of the world’s most iconic horse shows such as the Longines Global Champions Tour and WEF, and they take some truly adorable selfies with one another.
Nayel, who rides for Egypt, is currently number 41 in the world in the Longines Rankings. Some of his more notable victories from 2019 include the Longines Grand Prix of New York, the 12th round of the WEF Challenge Cup, and the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Las Vegas.
Jennifer currently sits in 31st in the FEI Jumping U25 Rankings and has accumulated several top ten finishes in the past few years, but one of her biggest accomplishments is winning the U25 class in 2017 at the National Horse Show. A recent graduate of Stanford University, Jennifer has been dedicating a ton of her time to medical school, and even shared on Instagram earlier this month that her research paper on head and spinal injuries in equestrian sports was published in Current Sports Medicine Reports.
