“Bred to Jump” is a Bit of an Understatement

When you got it, flaunt it. That’s definitely the motto for this sassy colt in turnout with mom.

The four-week-old is Caballito, by Cabalito out of Fancy, a Fabulaux mare owned and bred by Rich Haines. While there are many factors — hard work, good temperament, aptitude, money and luck, namely — that go into developing a top talent horse, there’s certainly something to be said for a horse that believes right of the gate that they are destined for greatness. That definitely seems to apply here!

I think Caballito can jump. Soooooo cute!!!

Moreover, his owners and handlers tell us that he’s got a personality to match, and he’s definitely an “in your pocket” kind of colt. This is Fancy’s first go as a mother, but she’s taken to her new duties beautifully.

Jumper Nation’s banking on Caballito being one to watch in the future, and when he hits the big time, we’ll be sure to let you know!

Special thanks to Rich Haines and GPH Equestrian for sharing their special new guy with us! If you’ve got a sweet jumper — young or old — be sure send it our way or tag it with #JNJumpoftheDay on Instagram, and be sure you’re following us!

Go Jumping.
