It was a Shanghai Noon standoff in the middle of town between the Flying Frenchman and the Brave Belgian, but the Massimo Dutti Trophy CSI5* went to Simon Delestre and his chestnut gelding Chesall Zimequest by just fractions of a second.
11 riders made the jump-off, and the victory would have gone to another Belgian, Gregory Wathelet and his black mare Oh d’Eole had they not had an unlucky rail down.
But it was Delestre who walked away with the cup and majority share of the featured class’s 377,000 in prize money with his fast and clean round.
The Longines tour continues this week in Hamburg, Germany, and you know you’ll be able to follow all the incredible action right here!
