A Gratifying Win for Taylor Flury & Carrasca Z on Opening Day
On Wednesday, June 14, Taylor Flury earned top prize in the $5,000 1.40m Johnson Horse Transportation Welcome. She and her beloved sterling grey stallion Carrasca Z, jumped double-clear rounds, and stopped the timers at 36.294 in the jump-off round.

Carrasca Z is only a seven-year-old. Flury was elated with his performance. “This is only his 3rd 1.40m class,” she said. “I thought he was really brave, he’s getting more comfortable with the bigger jumps, he doesn’t stall anywhere, and he was very confident around the course so I’m really happy with that.”

As the first in the order-of-go, and thus the first to jump-off, Flury had to wait through the rest of the rounds to see if she and Carrasca Z would collect the win. Any one of the more seasoned horses with a clear jump-off round could have surpassed her time.

Flury has handled Carrasca Z (Asca Z x Calato) since he was a three-month-old weanling. She started him under saddle as three-year-old and has brought him along through the Young Jumper Program. Last year, he won the Six-Year-Old Finals.

Aliboo Farm, Inc. owns Carrasca Z.

A Big Balmoral First for Brian Moggre
On Thursday, June 15, Brian Moggre bested a field of 29 more seasoned competitors in the $10,000 1.40m KindredBio Open Jumper Prix. Moggre and his bay Condero 3, jumped double clear rounds, and aced the shortened course in 30.45.

Moggre,16, has only been partnered with Condero 3 for about three months, but states they have clicked really well. He said, “Condero wants to win just as bad as I do. Every time we go into the ring we go pedal to the metal. He wants to be competitive and we really connect. When I tell him to move up and get the distance, or to slow down, he does. He is very responsive.”

Condero 3 is owned by DDM Equestrian, LLC. Moggre resides in Flower Mound, Texas and trains with Mike McCormick of MTM Farms.
